Handcut Dovetails...
*Those are not jigged dovetails...
There is no finer measure of a woodworker's skill than his ability to cut dovetails by hand. There are few on the planet who can cut dovetails this precisely and I'm fortunate to count the man who cut these among the members of my team. My guys are the best!
Thanks, Kim. I'm a huge fan of hand-cut dovetails. In fact, I'm designing a line of furniture that utilizes dovetail joinery exclusively. Can't wait to start prototyping the pieces.
As for the blog, it's a work in progress, but I'm enjoying the process.
By the time I was born in 1978 my father was both accomplished woodworker and internationally celebrated motorsports photographer. I grew up in his workshop building and designing furniture with him while learning how to shoot pictures. He fostered in me a need for creativity and understanding of how to envision and execute artistic projects while allowing me to develop my own technique. His knowledge of the arts, combined with my love of mid-century modern design and motorsports and a strong consciousness of environmental issues have created a particular set of skills that allow me to provide a unique and green design and fabrication service to my clients in New York City.
That's kind of gorgeous. And the blog is lookin all right, too.
